rbpru has some very good advice on setting expectations. Treat the adjuster good and the same will probably happen in return. They don't mind good questions. I'd add if the adjuster works for the insurance company they will be more in tune with making their insured happy with the results than an independent who is looking to finish a job assignment. There is a lot of completion with insurance companies these days and they know claims can chase away good customers.
