Well, the day has come where my family simply outgrew our beloved arctic fox 811 camper. We loved this thing and owned it for almost 6 years. Spent over 300 nights camping in it and took some nice long vacations with it. We will miss the versatility of the camper but we were finding that spending any time inside the camper was becoming too squished with 2 very young kids. We have bought a new Nash trailer model 25c which has offroad & 4 season capabilities as this type of camping is primarily what we do. I have already installed 300watts of solar on the beast and pretty much have a sweet setup for dry camping. Hope to return to truck campers once the kids grow up! Take care all!

yeah it's tough to make it work once the kids get bigger. We only have 1 kid but she brought a friend this weekend and sleeping 4 was tough... I ended up on the floor.Happy travels

I have been considering the same thing. My kids are 3 and 5 but we still manage to do pretty well in our AF 811. Maybe a couple more years and I might be forced to make the same decision as you. Thanks again for the advise you gave via PM on my 811.

Years ago we did the same thing as our 2 kids grew. And we also replaced the TC with a Nash TT.

It became a rolling motel as we supported Jen's (our daughter) bicycle roadracing. Cathy would feed Jen's entire junior team at lunchtime and the closest campground kept us out of $$ hotels/motels.

Fast forward a few years later and both our kids were driving and had no interest in any RV. Back to a TC and the unmatched maneuverability.

Our oldest just turned 5 and youngest is 18mo so leaving them alone in there own space would probably be disastrous lol.

We get it. We are currently camping for the first night in our new camper right now. It is pouring rain here in Oregon ( we need it) and we are inside playing a game with our three kiddos and two dogs. It is tight and we knew that being this is our 5th RV, but after going larger and larger...from a tent trailer, to a TT, camper then toy hauler and now back to a camper. It fits our lifestyle the best... Even though it is TIGHT!!!!!!!
