Spring is coming.....

Happy Groundhogs Day everyone,
As I sit here watching the snow fall, I am aware that Spring is just around the corner, and I am oh so ready to get out camping. We could camp in the winter I suppose, but doesn't sound like a lot of fun to stay cooped up, so will wait for warmer weather. I have been going through camping gear and replacing and repairing...our first reservations are for Memorial Day, but hopefully we will get out for some weekends long before that. What are your plans? Organized reservations, or just pack up and go when the time is right?
Make Memories!!:B
  • Hanging here in Mexico until first of April. A month at home then off to the Trinity Alps in May for the Summer of hiking, kayaking, fishing & camping.
It is my job & I will continue to do it a long as I am out of the urn! LOL
  • Yes, Open your window of your room as well as window of your heart. :)
  • Had two weeks of Spring in January, then Winter came back, sort of.

I saw several motorcycles on the road here in Northern neck VA yesterday... Was waiting for the wife at the grocery store and saw a few folks with shorts and tee shirts... Thats a good sign... Woke up this morning to mild to heavy rain - maybe that will wash all the salt dirt off the roads...

Local TV saying a couple more weather fronts will be fast streaming across the area in the next few days...

  • While riding my motorcycle in a t-shirt the other day, I smelled orange blossoms... a sure sign that Spring is near!
  • So great to see a post about Spring! We haven't had much snow in here in North Dakota this but unseasonably cold air rolled in right after Thanksgiving and has not let go since, other than a day or two. Temps still struggling to get above 0 which is 25 degrees below the average. I have started my Spring Cleaning already last month which entails a good, deep cleaning of the interior. Just have to let the furnace on the Montana run alot longer to get it warmed up to "Play" in it. :D
  • Six more weeks of winter here in PA according to Punxsutawney Phil. Don't know about you guys further west. :S
  • I'm with you I can't wait for spring. Living in the Chicago area has been trying to say the least this winter. We are closing in on 50 inchs and between now and next Sunday we could get another 2 feet! We have been going through our stuff downstairs just to keep the dream alive, wish my tt was closer to our house so I could check on it more often. We have a Yogi in Warrens Wisconson with the grand kids for June, alwas a lot of fun.
