Thanks for the replys. I am taking it in Thursday for service. The noise drops when the boost drops and at the same time RPMs come down. So I really can't say which causes what. I will try to narrow it down before taking it in. I had to go into San Francisco yesterday so had some mountain and freeway mileage and I did notice the squeal only happens up hill with high boost and at 2200-2500 rpm. Drop rpm lowering boost and lose squeal.
As for changing the tensioner with the serpantine belt I was quoted over 350 for that and a three day wait for the parts. That was a year ago when the vac pump for the EB was installed. Since I do not get squeal at start up or randomly I think that's ruled out.
After Thursday I should know so tune in, I will post results.
