squirrels under the hood

This might not be the right forum, just wondering how to eliminate squirrels getting up under the hood of my truck and removing the insulation and chewing up all the plastic that covers the wiring. the wires will probably be next.

Hope they don't come back. Have heard that wild mice and rats can make their way back within that kind of distance.
  • Go to Home Depot and get some Critter Ridder and spray it on all wires and vacuum hoses. Will stop them. Chewed mine 4 different times to the tune of about $400 each time. After spraying every 1-2 months they have never bothered it again.

I have a live trap and it does a good job of trapping small animals if you can determine the proper food source.

I had mice eat the wire coverings off my tractor wiring.
dog under the truck ate the wiring harness off my automatic transmission.

raccoon, scratched a big hole in the rubber roof covering on our travel trailer,

animals can do a lot of damage, $$$$$$$$$
