They are in business to make a decent profit - I don't think they will get rich with the above rate.
In my opinion It is you job to shop around and get the best deal you can find, no point in complaining about request for $17.00 s&h.

FWIW...The manufacturer is in Indiana and second I ask if there were any dealers closer that I could purchase the covers from. The reply was that a dealer would only sell the complete motor with cover and not just the cover. I was not trying to get something for nothing but the person I talked to on the phone was also surprised at the shipping for 8oz costing over 17 bucks. Geeze...hope you have a better day!
