Starcraft 2015 Travel Star 229TB

Does anyone have any experience with this layout? We found one locally for $15,000 and it seems like a great trailer at a great price, but we are total newbies so I'm looking for as many opinions as I can get.
We have 3 kids and 2 dogs, so having three queen beds is appealing, and it feels roomy even without a slide.
We have a 2008 6L Suburban that we'll be lugging the whole crew around in, so we want to stay as lightweight as we can.

  • This layout has been great for us since 2008. We have 3 kids plus their friends .Plenty of room. Our kids have out grown camping but we go to alot of music festivals and friends join us. It's a good setup, we have more room than some longer trailers.

As long as your Suburban can handle the towing, the trailer looks like a good way to handle sleeping 5 people. We had two sons and camped in a Starcraft popup with only two beds, no slideout and we managed quite well. A good sized screen room or dining fly big enough to handle a picnic table helps when you hit rainy weather as kids can sit at the picnic table to play games or whatever and you will need more coverage than the awning.

Do a search on the internet to get an idea of where prices are. Hope it works out for you!

    Thanks!
From what research we've been able to do it looks like a great price, but of course it doesn't include all of those sneaky dealer fees, so we'll see.
