I read several of you saying your door sticker says what your truck weight is. Please post a photo of that decal. My insurance company does not know what my truck weight is. The weight is not on my door decal.
If I would have an accident, my insurance company would have to cover me. There is no exceptions as to being drunk driving or anything else. I do think drunk driving is more obvious and serious than being overweight.
My door decal does not have the weight of my truck, but does have the maximum weight capacity with the tires listed on the decal, which is 8800 pounds. My TC decal says its weight is 1900 pounds. My insurance company has not weighed my truck, I have. My truck weight is actually 6200 pounds. If my TC decal says its weight is 1900, then by the decal numbers (plus actual truck weight) my total is 8100. If you believe that I really do not know what to say.
I posted photo of my decals, truck and TC. Who else has posted photos of their decals. Do the decals really have the info on them you say they do?
Here is a door decal from a Ford. Do you see the weight of the truck? Note the GWAR verbiage "with" followed by tire size, wheel size and psi.

I appreciate these discussions, simply because a law might be passed that would change my belief system. I find it hard to argue with Butch50
I gotta say mlts22, I am surprised your insurance company has that much information on your rig. I can see #1, but not #2 and #3. Could/would they give you a printout so we could see just how much info they have?
The only vehicle I have ever owned that had the curb weight on the door jamb, was a customized 88 1 ton 4dr 4X4 Bronco built by Centurion and the label was theirs not Fords, probably done the same when coach dealers build cab and chassis into ambulances, wreckers ect
