As someone who had a recent experience with my camper being ejected from my truck.....

my insurance company never asked a single question about weight. They merely took my account of what happened deemed my truck and camper both total losses and issued me a fair settlement. When I first added the camper to the policy they sent an inspector to deem my camper insurable and also never asked anything about weight. They only thing they really cared about was prior damage so they just took a bunch of pictures. I added my new camper to the policy and they are sending another inspector to deem it insurable again and check for damage. I have wawanesa insurance and they don't have agents. great company and super affordable. The only things your insurance company can deny claims for are the specific exclusions on your policy. If you do not have a copy of the entire insurance policy (different from your declarations page) you should get a copy and read it over. For instance, wawanesa does not cover into Mexico, but other insurance companies do. In my policy it specifically states no coverage while in Mexico. Normally the things excluded are acts of war, terrorism, etc.
I recently weighed my nee rig and camper and was blown away at the results.

Does this seem possible for a 2015 wolf creek 850? Camper was fully loaded, full tank of diesel, honda 2000gen, 2 adults, 2 kids.
1,920lbs overweight!!!!!!!! Were the scales off?
Just dont fwd this to my insurance company ;)
