Static Electricity ??

We just brought home a 2016 apex nano 18ft. I have spent the last two days getting it ready for first trip in a few weeks. I went back out tonight and turned on the overhead lights above the bed and the sink. When I went to turn off the overhead light above the sink I got up and looked a little static shock and the light cut off. Now the light will not cut back on. What is causing that? By the way the camper is not plugged into any outlets.
  • I got up and looked a little static shock and the light cut off.

Could you explain that a little better?
  • Odds are you blew a fuse. Look adjacent to the 120 volt circuit breakers for the 12 volt DC power distribution panel normally behind small metal dead front.
It may not have been static but an issue with the switch or light.
  • Extremely unlikely that you would have received a static shock and practically impossible for a static charge to cause your symptoms. The problem will not be a fuse if that is the only light effected. You probably have a blown light bulb.
  • If the bulb is an LED (light emitting diode), is is very susceptible to an ESD (Electro-static discharge) which is a static shock. I can damage the semi-conductor junction and cause an immediate failure of either the bulb itself or a circuit board if so equipped.

You may have to replace the LED bulb or fixture to resolve the issue.

If the bulb is incandescent, you can check it with an ohm meter or just change it to see if that is the issue.
