Neither had I, until I did. Point of my post was that I was glad I had the extra capacity at that time, or I might have been in a bad situation. "Feeble" wouldn't have been the first word to come to mind. Glad you're happy with your srw.
Depends how you look at it. I would say in this particular case you were in a bit of situation because you had a dually.....had you had a srw the outside tire wouldn't have been there to go flat. But I get your point that's why dialling up the front might be appealing to some. I have dualled wheel trucks that I have had flat tires on and had no idea I was running on one less tire. I find it interesting that people claim there is this huge difference in the added sidewalls yet I've never heard of anyone saying "my outside dual went flat on the Twisties and I immediately felt the truck become unstable.
