My TT is 36 feet long and my TV is roughly 20 feet long, so I'm about 56 feet. I'm of the mindset use your 1/4 as empty (as someone has said use your 1/2 as empty). I do have an extended range tank (45 gallons) and I will also carry a 5 gallon jerry can juse in case... so it gives me a but more wiggle room. But I have never planned my fuel stops.
