Our TT is also 29' with overall length of just over 50'. We visually scope out a gas station before we turn in off the road and if it looks iffy we go onto the next one. Never a major problem yet. DW had to get out once and guide me backing up because the exit turn was too tight. Worst hassle so far was at a Pilot station so we don't bother looking for them.
Last year a woman in a small car came flying past (and I mean fast) at a Shell station just as I was starting to pull out. She had her eyes on the pump immediately ahead of us, wasn't watching and nearly clipped our truck. Now I always look carefully to see if some impatient driver isn't waiting somewhere behind us that could do the same thing. Busy gas stations can be hazardous. :E
