Dutchmansport, You are misleading people or maybe you are as rude as those others. I have driven big trucks and hauled boats and travel trailers for a living and I have 4 million miles of safe driving. Which truck stops are you referring to? We use Flying J/Pilot and have never been pulled in front of by a teenie-bopper, they are pretty clean if it isn't winter and slushy. After all they do sell about 12000 gallons in 24 hrs out of each pump when they are busy so a few spills are inevitable. Most of the rude drivers I've met are in Northern Indiana where I hauled steel and aluminum, Chicago, Washington DC, and Detroit. Oh and as for beggars. I have seen 1 in Albuquerque and 1 in Virginia in the last 5 years so I'm not sure where you hang out but you need to change your routine IMHO. A lot of truckers and others with RVs probably appreciate it when you stay away. hopefully someday you won't have to beg if the stock market crashes.
Have you ever eaten the fried chicken at the Flying-J's restaurant in Quincy Florida off of I-10? Best fried chicken I've ever had. We used to stop there for a bite whether we needed fuel or not. I've always used the public pumps gas or diesel. The teenie boppers get a squirt of gas and go. It's the motor homes that I try to avoid getting in line behind. They tend to take their sweet time more often than not. It's been tight with traffic a few times but never so bad we couldn't squeeze in and out. Most people are polite and friendly if you are polite and friendly.
