Stranded in Houston

Something that I had happen to me this last fall was that the coolant overflow tank developed a crack in it just under the tank where the large hose connects to the tank. I guess it is a some what common problem with the plastic tanks. I caught mine early before it broke completely, thought it was a bad hose clamp. It's an easy fix, 2 bolts, removing 2 hose clamp, and $100 for the tank. If the tank is very yellowed, it's getting brittle and would replace the tank, it's going to crack and the repairs afterwards will be costly.
