I have no first hand experience with the 6.0 but member "carringb" and others here do....but from what I have read there is a laundry list of stuff that should be done to the 6.0 as part of the head gasket job, including new head studs to replace the OEM bolts, EGR cooler mods, coolant filter etc. I would say step back take a breath and do some homework...if you get the job done right with the right parts, you won't have more problems down the road. Will cost some $$ but the return is a truck that you can once again have full confidence in when traveling cross country.
