I'm sorry to hear that. That's a bad situation to be in.
Sounds like you are already familiar with the common 6.0 upgrades. One thing to keep in mind is that none of those upgrades will address to "other" issue that causes died-while-driving syndrome: The electronics. Please don't be tricked into thinking that all that "BulletProofing" will guarantee a reliable truck.
Some shops are now doing full engine wiring harnesses and common problem sensors (ICP, ICP-solenoid, turbo control solenoid and others) and that finally will make a reliable package. But by that point, you are nearly into the cost of a Cummins conversion.
Sorry to be such a Debbie-Downer in your threads. I just want to make sure you have the full picture when you decide which route to take. I've seen a lot of ruined vacations, and even had one of my customers scrap his 6.0 F250 about 3 weeks after a full HPOP/branch-tee/fuel supply upgrade because the turbo went next (we recommended the rebuild when it was out of the HPOP), and he was simply out of funds to continue throwing at it.
