You mean it failed AGAIN after the EGR pump fix? Yikes!

We only got 10 miles away from the dealership after replacing the EGR pump before a major failure. Coolant came spewing out all over the windshield and smoke began pouring out of the engine. Towed it to another dealership where we will be hopefully trading it in on Monday.

Our EGR and oil cooler went out last year on our 06 6.0, luckily only twenty miles from home. I hope your running some type of gauge such as the San Gauge II to keep an eye put for problems. Best of luck getting your truck fixed quickly and on your way.

nows a great time to dump it, hope things are going good . maybe they,d give you a loaner car and see whats in the area. a movie or two.

DavinD Sorry to hear about your breakdown. I can't rent you my truck unfortunately. Its my DD and about to take a trip of its own. There are a few rental places in Houston. When my truck was in the shop they quoted me $125/day plus mileage. Not sure if it was single or double cab. If you need me to come pull your trailer to an RV park for you I can help you get it there.

Were you towing when the problem occurred or have the trailer in a campground? Curious about how and where you had the rig moved. It can be difficult dealing with repairs far from home.

I hope you were able to get the RV in a campground that allowed you to be comfortable while waiting on the truck.
