I would question whether this picture is from a 1500 or a 2500 suburban. It doesn't really say.
I think the main issue would be payload, moreso than tow rating. To the OP, have you looked at the PSD Excurions? I'd have one of those any day before a 2500 suburban. I know they've been discontinued (stupid ford motor co), but if you're mechanically inclined and willing to put in the work, you can get your hands on a 6.0 PSD excursion very reasonably. Just MHO.
Self-Edit: I see in your sig line where you have a 2500 suburban, so I'd imagine your picture is from that ;) That's a strange scenario, because my 2007 1500 silverado has a hitch sticker that exceeds those numbers (when WD hitch is used).
