We have the 16' Scamp and tow with our Nissan Xterra it does just fine. The Scamp has electric brakes on it and that helps alot. The only drawback to the Scamp is the dining area makes to a full size bed, but my husband is a pretty big guy so he usually sleeps there with one dog and I sleep at the other end which is a sofa/bunkbed with the other dog. But overall we like the camper and have had no trouble towing it with the smaller vehicle. He uses it for hunting a lot and once we put bigger tires on the Scamp he has had no trouble taking it backwoods to his hunting area. Now if we take kids (teenagers) and dogs, we gotta break out the big guns, and use our Hummer and 25' TT.
