There is no way a tech can tell the difference between 15k mile oil at 6 months or 15k mile oil at 1 year. They probably couldn't even tell by doing an oil analysis.
Now if you want to argue extremes like 25k mile intervals to make it sound worse? Then yes, a simple oil analysis can easily differentiate 15k mile oil from 25k mile oil due to wear metals, oil additive depletion, and other things.
