Why would you get blowback from FCA? The 5 year 100,000 mile engine warranty is with Cummins, not FCA.

According to the docs that came with my RAM CTD:
Warranty service must be done by an authorized
Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram dealer.
No mention of any authorized Cummins truck service shop.
But really, one extra C$150 oil change per year is just not that big a deal, especially as we're talking about vehicles where the total investment for new is usually more than C$50K + tax. And possibly way more. No need to be "penny-wise and pound-foolish".
