Hello All,I have "inherited" a 2008 Komfort Trailblazer T254S travel trailer with a non-working slide out system. Unfortunately, the manual supplied from Komfort is nothing short of lackluster. I have removed the service panel on the bottom of the trailer to find the motor and a set of wire crimps, but am not getting 12v here when pressing the switch.I also checked for 12v at the switch location, and it is not present. From what I have read and seen on several forums, there should be a fuse or relay somewhere near the battery system, which I cannot find.I have also removed the load center to see if there are any obvious fuses or distribution blocks, but again nothing that seems to tie in to the wiring I see at the switch.I'm at a complete loss at this point and hoping someone else out there has run into this and been able to resolve the issue. It's a real bummer that Komfort went out of business and Thor (the parent company) no longer seems to have any support contacts for the brand.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There should be a circuit breaker just a few feet from the battery. They are normally reset able. Often times it is located on the inside of pass through wall.Jerry

Hi Jerry,I've looked for said "circuit breaker" for most of the day now and have found nothing. I was able to find a fuse distribution panel on the underbelly near the front of the trailer, but all of the fuses are fine and everything passes continuity tests. It appears all of these connections are also for trailer wiring going to the towing vehicle.

Follow the positive line from battery, should be with in 3-4 feet. I'll look for a pic and post it.Jerry

Glad you got it figured out. Yes most modern trailers use black for positive and white for negative. As a precaution you might want to find your main fuse box and make sure the reverse polarity fuses aren't blown.

Okay - I figured out what the problem was. The lead to the battery is black so *someone* connected it to the negative post. Moved it to the positive post and now everything works, how stupid...

Thanks for the help Jerry, I'll know where that circuit breaker is now for future reference!

That's the one. They do go bad, get weak. Many are auto resetting. 13.3 when charging is mostly just a float charge. Good fully charged batteries are best to operate slide. If batteries are low, shore power alone, often won't operate slide. Those breakers are cheap, so good idea. You could run jumper wires right to the motor, just for a test, or use a well charged battery pack with clamps.

Just to clarify, is the connection I have circled in red the one we're concerned about:

I removed the wiring from the device and tested continuity, which passed. I also am getting 13.36v on both sides of the device, which appears to be the ground for whatever is connected to it.

Yeah, batteries are showing a solid 13.3v and are currently connected to shore power and charging.

I've tested continiuty and voltage on that breaker, but everything checks out. Just no power at the motor or switch. I suuppose I could replace that breaker just for the heck of it, it's probably not too terribly expensive right?

Looks like it, in your pic on the bottom. Do you have a meter to test 12v in/out?

You do have a well charged battery, right?
