Tail gate
Looking to cut the wgt of truck. Can I take tail gate off and still be ok with camper. Bed is 6'6" camper is 90". GMC half ton.

Beeman, most people are trying to figure out how to keep the gate! Take it off! My last truck camper combo was an 8 foot camper and a 91 f250 lariat. The tailgate had been passed from owner to owner as apparently I was the only owner to remove camper to use truck bed. When I sold truck that tailgate looked new compared to the 22 year old paint on the truck.
