I bought the camper used, but it's only 2 years old. I did get a helluva price on it, so I could see where they won't wheel and deal on the backend. I also got a pretty darn good interest rate, so I'm happy there too.
Insurance seems pretty high for me, in my opinion. They're saying $550 a year for ACV of $35000.
As far as the mounts go, I've seen the videos so it should be pretty straight forward. Some guys say that the fuel tank can get in the way, so hopefully that doesn't happen. I don't have the superhitch, but I did buy the OEM rears. Hopefully I don't kick myself later and want the superhitch.
While I was asking for the quote, he said 10 hours, so I kinda made a face and said "I'll call you later." I honestly can't believe it would take 10 hours, even if they had to drill the frame.
Regarding the plug, Lance has their very own proprietary plug because the refridgerator will draw through the truck - but needs 8 AWG wire. Stock trailer wiring is not typically - although mine is already upgraded. I did buy a pigtail adapter on Amazon for $80? So we'll see if that gets me started, I could probably splice the wires into a 7 way from the Lance plug, but that may be more trouble than it's worth. They sell the Lance bed plug for $40, but I would have to have it wired. They'll probably charge me 30 hours of labor for that :)
While I would have good reason not to, I trust all of the other departments of this dealer - it's Lazydays in Tampa - they're the only Lance Dealer within 500 miles of me. They just make a ton of money off RV Service, but I believe most of that is Class A/C work.
(I'm hoping the guy who originally owned it may be on here, he did alot of work to the unit that seems VERY well thought out and very well done.)
