Stable Loads are just spring spacers to stiffen your ride.
Stable-Lift is the answer to all these complaints!
As for ripping it off while driving, in my experience the reverse is true.
Regular camper jacks are way easier to snag and tear off. I've done it more than once over the years. A Stable-Lift is an extremely stout thing, and will take a much harder hit with no problems. Mine has taken a few whacks that I'm sure would have wrecked a regular jack.
It's a game changer. You'd have NONE of these scary and tedious loading issues. No messing with tie downs, it clamps itself on (directly the truck frame) when you retract it.
You unplug your light cord and press the buttons. That's literally ALL you do, and the camper is always on a big stable platform that isn't going to ever crash.
It's so easy you'll drop the camper just to run two miles to the store. Can you imagine it being that easy? It is!
Ugly? Paint it black or color-match it, it's fine. Mine actually saved my truck from damage when a sheet of plywood from a neighboring camp blew up against my truck.
The real negatives are price and a more involved installation, but both are worth it and only affect you once.
Could not remember what they were called. Looked at their website, appreciably more than electric jacks. They look cumbersome to me, hanging out there. Different strokes for different RV'ers is fine with me. I don't do the rubber blocks either.
