TC Front Door Lock Replacement?

Ended up going to an RV shop the day before our trip. The replacement sets they had didn't fit, so the repair guy just started trying random old camper keys he had on a huge key ring. The third one worked perfectly, he sold it to us for $3, problem solved!

Just do a google for best price, I got mine off Ebay.

I have the same Bauer keyless lock. Im on my second one. The first one which I bought about a year ago failed on the first trip out. After I called the company they sent me out the newer version. She admitted to me that the early ones had problems and would prematurely fail. In my opinion its one of those deals where there should of been a recall.
Im only telling you this in the event that you start to have problems. Call the company and they will send you the newer updated version. They will want the old one back and they will pay for all the shipping. Since Ive been using the second one its worked fine and we really like it.
Another thing you want to use in them is the Lithium batteries.

Maybe former owner hid a spare key somewhere? I found one on mine after I purchased it.

Good find! Rather high though, for the under $30 think Id try to fit a newer paddle style 'cept for the thickness, youd have to make a shim if door is really only 1" thick. But with a part number, Decker 41741 or Decker 1042, have better search options
Found same at http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com little less. Last time I had a key made was $20-dunno for a 30 year old lock?

I put regular home deadbolt on my rear door. The bolt has a much longer throw than the puny RV lock. Had it keyed to the same key I have for the house.

As mentioned earlier , a lock smith is probably cheapest and easiest . You can also try a Mobile Home supplier .

It's actually a round knob, like on a regular residential door but smaller. I've been googling around but all the "rv replacement lock sets" are of the newer squared with a latch variety. Might try to find something small at one of the big box store that would fit. The door itself is only 1 inch thick. Either that or try the locksmith.

And yeah, I guess I should've said "rear door"
