I'm going to do some shopping. My issue is (and it has to do with Michigan and not any insurance carrier) is, only a certain number of insurance companies will insure in Michigan because of out 'no fault' insurance and the insane MCCA (Michigan Catastropic Coverage Addendum) which adds 160 bucks to each and every registered vehicle.
Insurance here is extremely expensive, actually, I think we have the highest rates in the entire country right now.
When we bought the farm, we moved here from Ohio and when I got a cancellation notice from my Ohio carrier I found out the hard way that no matter what the reason for cancelation is, you have to go high risk, higher buck, no choice for 3 years. Almost bankrupted us. Now, I'm real careful about even 'rocking the boat'. Don't want to go through that again, I cannot afford it.
