NY doesn't consider TCs as vehicles or RVs so you can't insure them separately.
When it's on the truck it is cargo and covered by my truck's insurance.
When it's off the truck it's on my property and covered by my homeowner's insurance.
Of course I didn't pay much for it, it's not worth much now, and I've got my money's worth out of it anyway so even if it was a total loss I would not be out much.
