Oh, that hurts. SRW with a 1055? Maybe that's why it was not used much. I'm assuming the '95, 12valve CTD has 4.10's; at least I hope so. Be sure to keep the 5th gear nut tight. The NV4500 had a tendency to have loose nuts on 5th gear. The fix was to reverse the threads on the shaft/nut making it tighter, if anything with use. The NV4500 is a smooth transmission and easy to shift. It is head and shoulders above the Mopar automatic transmissions of the era. The other woe is to keep an eye on the Dana 70 rear end. Lots of housing/not much beef in the shafts or bearings. But, that era detuned, 12v. Cummins is a cult engine in the Dodge. It's kind of like Italy: it will always be there even though not much happens.

Haven't given it the microscopic inspection yet but the original and only owner was a machinist and so far everything from his estate has been beyond perfect. I still can't believe the condition of the Lance 880! It is truly as good as new.
Everything he purchased was top quality and made in the U.S. For example he has a tool box that fits the truck when he wasn't carrying the Lance. It's a Lund Challenger. His compressor was a DevilBiss, etc.
