TCS with Solar - Rooftop or Portable
Hi folks, I'm still exploring Solar power for my new TC. In another thread I shared a rooftop system I was considering and several people suggested I go portable instead. I had not considered portable because of the limited storage space in TCs and my fear of damaging them during travel. However, if I can make that work I would also be able to use it with Fiver so that would be a win/win.
I don't have any experience with this but it seems to me having to transport and setup a portable system frequently may be a pain compared to a rooftop system's low maintenance.
I'd like to hear what you experienced TCs use and any specific products and/or sources you recommend.
The main use will be keeping the batteries charged, charging electronic devices, a cpac machine and a couple hours of TV occasionally. I'm thinking 200-300 watts, a good controller and a quality inverter like the Morningstar 300W pure sine wave inverter.
What do you guys think?
