OK, I almost bought one. thankfully I didn't and bought the V-10 instead!
Unfortunately I still have to work on them!
Then why even make a post about it when the topic is for those who have a '15 and up diesel? :h
Generally when I don't have or don't even like what the topic is about then I don't post unless I was purposely trying to be vindictive and want to tell everyone I don't like it which is pointless IMO.
I answered the title question. I almost bought a diesel, that was pretty scary to think that I could’ve bought one.
Then I answered the post. I still work on them. I don’t like driving something that I have to hope will make it 4K miles without a problem. Therefore I would not recommend any of the diesels with maybe the exception of the Cummins from the last 8 years or so!
This statement is ridiculous. Its an opinion and it is the internet so there is that, but common sense would dictate that if the diesel trucks of the last 8 years were so bad that they couldn't go 4k without issue no one would be buying them. Other than 6.0 debates, I don't enter into squabbles about who has the best diesel truck. I buy what I buy and I don't really care about what others spend their money. I have had new gas and new diesel trucks. My experience with GM trucks (gas and diesel), has been practically flawless. I work them hard, perhaps that's why I don't have issues. However I don't hear anyone else complaining either and nearly everyone I know here owns one, of all three makes of HD diesels (I am an excavation contractor and nearly everyone I associate with is also a contractor). While things come up, it certainly isn't an epidemic of problems.
