I'm a little unclear. Do electric charging stations advertise their kilowatt hour pricing? Is it less expensive at one station than another like the competitive situation among gas stations? Once the government and a few corporations own all sources of recharge capability, the prices will skyrocket.
My impression is the reason vehicle manufacturers are going BEV is due to states like California and Washington who are outlawing ICE sales and mandating electric. A mandate is seldom the best solution.
I'll comment on the Cybertruck when I see one.
EV is taking over because it is a better mouetrap.
The ICE with all its complexity is no longer the best way to propel a vehicle. An EV has minimal moving parts. Again no fuel injection, cams, lifters, injectors you name it the EV DOES not need it. The simplicty is mind boggling. The engine compartment(HOOD) is now a front trunk!
The engine is gone! just think about that a few seconds... The engine as we know it is gone and this thing out accelerates anything we know of!
It's hard to comprehend the ICE is obsolete after all these years but this is wear technology has taken us.
Tesla was the first, but after examing what has been already achieved, all the other auto manufaturers from , Ford to GM to VW to Mercedes they are all lining up to be the 2nd.
Infrastructure will be put in place soon enough.
The cell phone revolution did not happen overnight, it took time to get sufficient infrastucture in place. But now we expect and for the most part have cell service in all develop areas world wide.
THe EV revolution is in its infancy. Give it time, it will make a believer out of everyone, one Tesla drive/experience at a time.
