Tesla was the first, but after examing what has been already achieved, all the other auto manufaturers from , Ford to GM to VW to Mercedes they are all lining up to be the 2nd.
Infrastructure will be put in place soon enough.
The cell phone revolution did not happen overnight, it took time to get sufficient infrastucture in place. But now we expect and for the most part have cell service in all develop areas world wide.
THe EV revolution is in its infancy. Give it time, it will make a believer out of everyone, one Tesla drive/experience at a time.

Well, I do take exception to this view that the EV is less complicated than an ICE. It's extremely complicated, but on the unseen scale. All those IC's are not simple, and are unfixable by almost anyone. Something breaks? Take it to a shop, or have the shop come to you, either way you won't be repairing it yourself.
