Might as well, there are people who simply can't compete in high-knowledge high-tech California. And other states are attracting them with poverty-level wages for their low standard of level locations.
Wow, I have never seen that much arrogance, ignorance, and assumption all in one paragraph.
Oh yeah, do you want to agree agains the current US demographic shift?
Suggested reading: Bloomberg (in an article today).
Demographic shifts is one thing, but arrogantly assuming that the people leaving because they are not skilled or educated workers instead of even considering the fact that higher cost of living brought on by higher taxes and regulation has anything to with it is another. Then there is the assumption that if they are leaving, then they must be drawn in by poverty level pay. This not the case for many people who are relocating as stated in the articles I posted and many other that I have read on the subject.

Now you just transitioned from wet blanket to a whiner!
And what or who I vote is none of your business. This is not a political forum.
It is just economics and demographics. Since you posit CA and high-tax high cost-of living state, naturally people who can't afford it will leave. And those who can afford it are either highly skilled and highly educated who can command higher pay.
Another transition will be for sweat shops to leave since either they can't have low skilled workers (who since moved) or workers who are willing to accept low wages.
And please, can we move on to state vs state posts. Remember this is Tesla and EV cars and trucks. I don't want to go where California is subsidizing with our taxes those poor states, lol.
Back to topic, utilities who will not prepare for the advent of EVs for which every car company is going will just be passing opportunities -- as your link suggest that they are now aware.
For them, it's adapt or perish.
And I beg you, don't rain on my Tesla RV configured like their super-streamlined semis.
