The coils definitely ride and handle nicer. The 3500 isn't bad and I'd get it if you're planning on a bigger fifth wheel at some point, but for a bumper pull or smaller fiver the 2500 is plenty. And truthfully as has been discussed at length here, that payload rating is understated.
Go drive a 3500 and compare for yourself. Buy the right one for you and don't look back. That cummins also has the best exhaust brake in the biz and remember you miss out on that with the hemi.
You know you want it... :B
Although the cummins exhaust brake is very good it's no longer the best in the biz.
REALLY??????????
And you know the Ram has the best exhaust brake, the Ford ,and GM have stepped up their game, have you hooked that monster up to a Ford or GM and tried them out
I have nothing to back it up in front of me other than what I have read I was wondering if the FISH would explain.
Heres what I DO know about my 13 Ram in my sig. I've towed my 16,300# 5er (CAT scale), DOWN, I64, New River Gorge 7% grade in WVa. Hit top of mountain at 60 mph..let off throttle, was of course, in T/H and EB in agressive mode and going down that mountain my truck ALMOST came to a complete stop ...Dont know if Ford or GM/ Chevy is better, which is fine if they are, but I dont know how they could be "better", unless they bring whole combo to a DEAD stop..total GCWR, was a little over 25,250#.
I know what I have is MORE than enough...so if Ford and/or GMs EBs are better, then that is great for safety technology.
