Just finished up reading this entire thread and all I can say is wow. You guys argue over best exhaust brake, fastest to 55 or 60 MPH, which brand can climb the mountain pass the fastest, who cares!
The fact is, all three do quite well as heavy haulers, going up or down the hills. In the end, it will be the Cummins, simply because of their reliability. Think back of the issue with Ford and how they stiffed you over warranty, the Duramax uses took it too. Go read the current GM and Ford diesel threads, scary stuff, stuff you don't read about in the Cummins forums.
I may be the last guy up the hill, but I will do it at the posted speeds, safely, and doing it with a long stoke Cummins using less fuel that the Ford or GM, get it, less fuel, the one metric that no one evers considers.
