24.7 is impressive. I wouldn't have expected that high.
I have driven that route many times. I will make the same comment that I did when they tested the EB. 65 MPH on that stretch is SLOW. Would like to see what the difference is at 75.
I would like them to stretch these tests out to 100-150 miles or so. That's why the computer is off a little. Also my truck at 75 does as good if not a little better @ 75 if traffic will allow as apposed to 65. With the 3.42 gears @ 65 the motor is well below the torque band. 75 is the sweet spot for mine. I've seen 27 at that speed on the lie-o-meter for a couple hundred mile trip. - ROBERTSUNRUSExplorer

Um... did this 800lbs-ft oil burner just turn in the same mpg as the F1fitty 163 cubic inch eco boost TFL tested? Har har har...
Looking forward to the towing mpg test with 16,000lbs high frontal area trailer behind both of them... ;)
:) Hi, and the Ecodiesel also got better mileage than the 2.7L Ecoboost, but beyond that it lost everything else. Har har har. Oh and don't forget the Oil burner has 420 lbs torque compared to the 375 lbs on the gas engine. Or you can jump on the Dodge band wagon and use the 240 horsepower CARD. :B - Bionic_ManExplorer24.7 is impressive. I wouldn't have expected that high.

An interesting video, and it seems with the test, they were accounting for wind. - ScottGNomad

Oh man, you are a pot stirrer.
I respect that. - notevenExplorer IIIUm... did this 800lbs-ft oil burner just turn in the same mpg as the F1fitty 163 cubic inch eco boost TFL tested? Har har har...

I will agree that is good MPG so far my new 15 reads slightly high on the Lie O Meter. Now that is more like my 98 RAM 12V with 5 speed! - Enjoyed the video... impressive fuel economy either way.
- jus2shyExplorerOnly thing is that you can't account for parasitic losses from the 4WD system, but seems like they tried to account for weight of the 4x4 system. I could believe 24 mpg as my best tank was something just under 22mpg and that includes a little bit of city driving.
