Bryan was camped a few miles from us near Glacier National Park two weeks ago. He contacted us and we were fortunate that he dropped by for a few hours of conversation. We learned a lot, as is normal in conversation with fellow "boondockers" (we were dry-camping at the Blackfeet Nation CG). We hope to meet with him again.
We have a 34' 5th wheel and cannot go to the off-road sites he does but we have done fairly well with dispersed camping sites (so I suppose we are off the proper thread for truck campers).
We have basically the same amount of solar and battery capacity as Bryan and are similarly solar autonomous. Our LFP battery bank is quite a bit lighter and is perhaps a bit more adaptable (Peukert advantages) than PbS.
We wintered three seasons on beach in Yucatan and plan to do such this winter (if the Mexican government and the insurance company ever get the Temporary Import Licenses cancelled for our destroyed rig - 70 car pileup in whiteout between Vera Cruz and Puebla).
