You might as well ask "How heavy of wheelbarrow can you push?" It depends on how the wheelbarrow is loaded, how far, how fast, hills, temperature, if you had Wheaties for breakfast and number of other things. The factory rating is for what they are confident that you can pull all day, every day, at legal speeds on public roads in almost any weather with the trailer and load per factory instruction and the truck properly maintained and not create excessive liability. If you drive a little slower, in moderate weather on moderate hills you can get away with pulling a little more. Provided, as someone here said, that you don't go over 20,000lbs on the rear axle or there are other local laws that you need to be aware. I have gotten away with overloading the truck but I wouldn't want to go down Wolf Creek Pass with some of those loads either (credit CW McCall).
If you want to go over the factory rated load you should understand some of the limiting factors and test the waters carefully before hitting the highway. You may recall the Toyota commercial where a Tundra was pulling a space shuttle. Trust me, they didn't go over the Rockies at 70mph on a hot day doing that.
