Some numbers I've seen, show a cattle hauler etc will need 30% more HP than a typical 18 wheeler. A full aero PKG 18 wheeler 30% less HP
On experience I had towing. I got better mph, one gear taller towing my EY with a mini excavator over the Cascades and back vs my TT. Both at 15K lbs, same truck, etc.
Got better mph towing bobcat at 3000 lbs more than TT combo. Wind resistance IMHO is a way bigger factor than many claim it to be vs actual lbs.
