Sorry but I hope you don't wager any $ on this so called test. As mentioned too many variables filling the tanks.
Even if so it's still not enough of a reason to pick the Ford, now let's add the good towing mirrors and the tight turning radius of the 450. UH, nope still not enough to make a buying decision. ;)
I’m not here to sell trucks, hitches, tires, etc.
Bottom line the Ford made better fuel mileage than the GM pulling 30k lbs on what appears to be a flat road using hand calculated method by which most people accept as a acceptable method.
