I need those extra HP and torque because? Why do we need to continually add more HP and torque so that people can have bragging rights? Massive amounts of HP and torque in each and then many feel the need to chip and add devices to increase both.
A fool and his money is soon departed.
So I'm a fool if I want to modify my truck? If it weren't for the aftermarket industry, automakers would have no clue what features the consumer actually wanted in their next vehicles.
You can thank fools like me for things like upfitter switches, retractable steps, tailgate steps, LED lighting, navigation, and yes the HP and TQ numbers you currently enjoy.
So by all means, mock those of us who choose to enhance our vehicles while you enjoy the benefits of our foolish endeavors.
Touched a nerve did I? Not meant to mock but I find that my bone stock truck, as the truck before it, provides all that is necessary to pull my rig anywhere I want without adding thousands of dollars to an already inflated purchase price. Does the average person owning a truck need more horsepower without the big 3 racing for the bragging rights.
Can we agree that trucks have inflated prices? I see many many posters on this forum driving older trucks without the massive HP and TQ you speak of who wouldn't trade for any of the newer models.
Thank you ShinerBock for the civil explanation.:C
