Why would GM even keep the Ram truck if they took over FCA??? "Merger" of a small company by a much larger one is the code words for killing off the little one so it no longer exists. Anyone in business knows this!
GM would eliminate the Ram truck very quickly as that would eliminate one of the 3 that make full sized trucks and leave the 2 remaining to share the in increased sales of theirs. Only 2 choices are left! GM and Ford are already working together and why would they need a loser manufacturer with old manufacturing facilities and old outdated technology/methods to get in the way? Buying manufacturing facilities and equipment that are antiquated and ready for the junkyard or destruction would make no sense at all. That would be pure stupidity! The real kicker lurking over such a takeover is having to acquire FCA's long term debt as noting at all is to be gained by doing so. FCA and Chrysler will be GONE including the RAM truck! FCA nor Chrysler really have nothing to offer other than old and failed low quality products and facilities and a several times failures in their financial history. Who'd want it?
Besides, ALL Ram 2500/3500 trucks are made in Mexico as are all Hemi engines and several other engines too and the diesel engines use in them are merely purchased from a supplier because Chrysler doesn't even make their own diesel engines for their 2500/3500 trucks. Ford and GM do and GM's Diesel is 100% GM owned and all made right here in Moraine, Ohio and so are their trucks made here in the USA.
Has to be that so many posting members on this forum thread do NOT have a clue as to how business and business decisions are made/works!
Old, antiquated technology? Really, now your just talking out your .....! This post right here tells us how scared the GM flag wavers are! Everything in your post is ridiculous!
