How do I remove the toilet from the base unit? Anything I should be aware of? As these are $500+ I really do not want to break it. I need to fix some of the plumbing underneath it. Am I correct...

Since my pan is in need of repair or replacement anyways to use it as a shower, I may go this route.
Thinking about using this pan trimmed down to 35"
