Think this might cause a P0300 (Random Misfire)
Long story short. Put new wires on the Truck last summer. Same ones I have used on the 11 second Trans Am for years. 5.7 LS1 VS 6.0. Lots of similarities. At any rate they didn't do so well in a towing application.
Last trip of the season truck had a terrible miss. Thought it may have been the intake gasket, swapped it at the site took about an hour and a half. It made a difference the old one was bad, common on the 02. Still a miss, read codes they pointed to a CPS. Crawled under to change it out. Looked up saw three wires that looked like this.

Went back to the stock ones and had the trailer out this past weekend...all fixed. Guess the truck makes a little bit more heat than the Trans Am.
