Still have to see a large load on the back of a coil sprung 2500.. Like a truck camper, not a fifth wheel.
The 2500 is not rated for a heavy slide in camper, if you have a heavy slide in and want a Ram you need to get the 3500.
I liked how that clown made a point to read that Ram does not recommend the 1500 for a slid in camper. Shows how ignorant he is, my 2002 (that has leaf springs) had the same paper in the glove box! I bet the pre HD payload Ford F-150 trucks had the same paper in their glove box. My 1990 and 1992 F-150 both were not rated for a slide in camper. Are the new F-150 trucks rated for them?

What? Some people on here saying payload of 3000+ for a 2014 Ram 2500. I am sure I could find a few campers that would be around 2k+/- a few hundred pounds... Funny, I've seen many older Ram 2500's with a truck camper on them, what does that say about coil springs?
My payload is 3014#, about 300# more than my leaf spring equipped 3500 SRW was. :) Oh, and my rear GAWR increased by 300# going to the 2500 too. Previous 3500 was 6200#, new 2500 is 6500#.
