Time to get serious. Sold TT and got a new RAM.

Sold the Travel Trailer today and picked myself up a 2015 Ram 2500 SB 6.4 Hemi Mega Cab 4x4. I'm pretty much sold on the Lance 855. I want a non-slide, 4 season, large tank capacity, 2 propane bottles, oven, shortest overhang possible. Is there anything I should consider before I get to work on pricing?

Wold Creek 850 nice camper but the tanks are considerably smaller.

Adventurer 86FB seems to fit the bill but the quality of the interior finishes don't seem as nice. I prefer the Lance wrap around dinette. Also I would prefer aluminum or wood but I know how much that matters. Also Should I take into consideration the Lance 1 piece front cap.

Quality is probably most important. I just want to make sure I'm considering everything important.
  • In Oregon, you should be able to find a used Host (they made short bed models) or new or used Arctic Fox.
  • Jfresh is looking for a non-slide, Host and Arctic Fox are slide models. Shortbed non-slides are harder to find, but offer more storage than a similar length longbed due to the ovehang area.
  • I'm curious what you didn't like about the Adventurers? Their models seem to fit the requirements nicely. I'm happy with mine but I haven't looked at a lot of others. I was only able to look at one Lance (an 830) and to me the Adventurer was nicer with better build quality.

I probably see 10 Adventurers to each Lance I see up here.

From reading this forum it seems the Wolf creek's aren't without their issues either.
  • I missed that the OP only wanted nonslide. In that case, Host did make nonslide modelss, but that sounds also like S&S, Citation, Adventurer, and Northern Lite.

The nonslide Host are Lynx and Bobcat. Both were in ads on rvtrader.

It was not having a local dealer and the wood frame construction that originally turned me off. Also The interior did not seems as nice on the website photos. But I think I should make the drive and go take a look at a 86FB.
