Serious problem...simple solution

Tried to raise the windshield curtain but it would not budge (go up). Checked the two switches (chassis/coach) by the front door and both were on. Tried to start the engine but no chassis dash power. Now getting worried. Tried to extend slides...no power! However, electric bed over cab would go down and back up. Looked at parking brake and it was down. Started thinking problem must be a blown fuse (but why would that cause no power to both coach plus chassis? Didn't make sense! But, thought it might not hurt (as a last resort)to begin reading the manuals to see if I'm missing something and location of fuses. But, before digging through the several manuals...decided to release the parking brake and reapply. Did that and...lo an behold... (Southern saying)...everything began, remarkably, working! Apparently, the parking brake was applied but not quite far enough down. So, if you have a similar problem...always push the parking brake pedal just a little farther down! Could save you time and effort and maybe dollars for a repairman.

If you have a foot operated parking brake there is a "Pin switch" or plunger switch on teh upper bracket. LIkely has two wires running to it (The bracket is the 3rd wire) sometimes this switch "Sticks" in the OPEN position (DEPRESSED) and releasing the brake and reapplying un-sticks it.

You can also snap it with your fingers (Push up and let it snap back down)

I call it the @!()#*@#$ Parking brake switch for obvious reasons.
