Just went through the same thing. Guess we all do. My 05 Dodge had 125k on the clock. Not hardly enough to put her in the grave but the front end was getting sloppy (after replacing everything once) and she was starting to show and feel her age. What to do, replace the front end again along with a new spring pack or buy a new rig with more capabilities.
So, I fought off the bug for a couple weeks then pulled the trigger Monday night on a new Ford. Looking forward to my first tow on Sunday but it does create a new case of butterflies. The Dodge has been a trooper and my only tow vehicle for 10 years. The Ford better treat me as well. It's going to be interesting pulling and backing with a different truck. As for empty performance the old Dodge simply can't compare. I'll miss her, she was a good truck but I'm sure enjoying the new one.
Best of luck with your decision.
